Brooks offers three platforms to assure the right fit for all types of feet. 

 

1)  Universal Platform - The universal platform is the ultimate blend  of fit and performance.  This platform offers an anatomically designed toe spring that follows the natural angles of your gait.  This platform also offers a wider toe box to provide ample breathing room for your toes.

 

2)  Lineal Platform - The linear platform is a straight configuration for added stability to improve the pressure path.  This platform also provides a wider midfoot bed to accommodate custom orthotics. 

 

3)  Curved Platform - The curved platform is the foundation for the lightweight, neutral shoes for faster, and more biomechanically correct runners.  It is designed with a glove like fit from heel to toe, and is for a medium to high arch profile. 

 

Brooks also offers several technologies that are state of the art. 

 

1)  HydroFlow® is a silicon-based cushioning system.  It is a fluid-filled center chamber that dampens shock at impact as it dynamically disperses the fluid at a controlled rate around the heel.  It provides cushioning, stability, and rebound on every stride, plus it is designed to outlive the shoe. 

 

2)  Substance 257 is a unique midsole compound designed to be more durable and offer quicker rebound.  It has been tested to proved 15% more durability than standard EVA.
